High Peak MP Robert Largan has welcomed the increased rail services from Monday.
During the lockdown, there has been significantly reduced train services. From Monday 18th May, there will be a new timetable and additional services put on, to help those who can't work from home and need to use public transport to go to work.
Manchester - Hadfield/Glossop: Improvement to mix of hourly and half hourly
Manchester - Buxton: Remains hourly with some additional peak services
Manchester - Sheffield (via New Mills): Hourly to Sheffield and every two hours to New Mills

Following the MP’s lobbying efforts, Northern have also confirmed that they will be running full length trains, which will help with social distancing.
Constituents are reminded that if you can work from home, please continue to work from home. If you can't work from home, please only use public transport if you're unable to walk/cycle/drive to work.
Robert Largan MP said:
“As soon as the new guidance was issued, I began lobbying Northern to put on additional services and longer trains, so this is welcome news that will help maintain social distancing and help us control the virus.
